We believe the story of the Christian faith is about our Father, the only true God, showing his love for all people by providing a means for us to be reconciled with him through his son Jesus, the Anointed One. This is the “Good News” talked about in the Bible. Those who commit to living as Jesus lived enter into a new covenant with God and are made a part of his kingdom under the rulership of Jesus, our Lord. God's kingdom is both a present reality and a future hope of living together with him forever. The Bible is God’s inspired story, telling us how he accomplishes this magnificent grace for all people.
Our Purpose is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; to love our neighbors as we do ourselves; and, to tell others the Good News of the Kingdom of God, as we live by faith, are known by our love, and speak words of hope to the world. (True Love Challenge)
Acceptance of one another on the basis of love despite differing interpretations of Scripture as long as there is willingness to base beliefs on Scripture alone and not on tradition, creeds, human authorities, opinions, or majority view. (see Statement of Beliefs)
Emphasis on God, our Father, “the only true God” (John 17:3), and the work he accomplishes in us through his Messiah, Jesus. (see God and his Messiah)
Engagement directly with Scripture within a community of believers under the guidance of the Holy Spirit leading to personal transformation into the likeness of Christ. (see Disciples Bible Study)
Love to others expressed in tangible acts of kindness, including the kindness of sharing with them the good news of the kingdom of God. (see Two Ways To Live) (True Love Challenge)
We believe kingdom life is best lived out in simple, organic Christian communities (ekklesia) that practice the priesthood of all believers, regularly multiplying in a growing family of simple faith communities. (see How to Meet)
Living “the Way” of God as modeled by Jesus. The essence of what it means to be a disciple is described in 1 John 2:6 "Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” (see Kingdom Living)
See the page titled Start a New Home Church! for information and resources, including some online training and mentoring to help start a simple faith community (ekklesia).
We connect with others seeking to join or start a home church, and list cities targeted to plant new simple communities. This gives opportunity for others to be aware of the potential for a new local fellowship as well as opportunity to pray for Kingdom growth. Feel free to contact us for mentoring, support, and encouragement, or to list your desired target city to start a new simple gathering. See the Join Us page for more information.
